- Position: means any office and employment in the municipal fire and police services, the duties of which call for services to be rendered by one person. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:2473
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3 of Act No. 748 of the 2010 Regular Session of the Legislature, the governing authority of the city of Alexandria may create, by ordinance, the position of deputy chief of police in accordance with the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 33:2481.4.
