Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2204

  • commissioner: as used in this Chapter , means the commissioner of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2202
  • person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10
  • weather modification: as used in this Chapter , means the changing or controlling by chemical, mechanical, or physical methods the occurrence of lightning or the precipitation of rain, hail, mist, sleet, or snow. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2202

A license fee of one hundred dollars shall be paid by any person issued a weather modification license, in addition to the application fee provided in La. Rev. Stat. 37:2203.  Each such license shall expire one year after the date such license is issued and shall be revocable at any time, by the commissioner, in accordance with such procedure as the commissioner may establish.
