Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9074

  • Application: means the forms and schedules prescribed by the corporation upon which an applicant seeks a permit or the renewal of a permit. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9002
  • Lottery: means any game of chance approved by the corporation and operated pursuant to this Chapter and shall not include sports wagering authorized pursuant to this Subtitle. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9002
  • Person: means any individual, corporation, partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9002
  • Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
  • Subtitle: means and includes all the Chapters in Subtitle II of this Title 47 and any other Title of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 except the provisions of Chapter 1 of Subtitle IV of Title 47 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and estate taxes for the assessment, collection, administration, and enforcement of taxes, fees, licenses, penalties, and interest due the state of Louisiana which have been delegated to the Department of Revenue. No person shall knowingly or intentionally make a material false statement in any application for a license or proposal to conduct lottery activities or make a material false entry in any book or record which is compiled or maintained or submitted to the corporation pursuant to the provisions of this Subtitle.  Any person who violates the provisions of this Section may be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than five and not more than ten years without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of imposition of sentence and may be fined an amount not to exceed twenty-five thousand dollars or the dollar amount of the false entry or statement, whichever is greater.
