- Joint session: When both chambers of a legislature adopt a concurrent resolution to meet together.
- University: means the University of Maine System. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 10901
The Chancellor of the University of Maine System shall be invited by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate annually, in January, to appear before a joint session of the Legislature to address the Legislature on the state of the university system and such other matters as the chancellor desires to bring to the Legislature’s attention.
