Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 3882

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Prevention programs: means programs, plans or training associated with the primary prevention of child abuse and neglect and the promotion of high-quality child care. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 3881
  • Trust: means the Maine Children's Trust Incorporated. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 3881
The Maine Children’s Trust Incorporated, referred to in this chapter as the “trust,” is established to provide a mechanism for voluntary contributions by individuals and groups for annual and long-term funding of prevention programs. [PL 1995, c. 402, Pt. A, §6 (AMD).]
