Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 4218-A
- federal Affordable Care Act: means the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Public Law 111-148, as amended by the federal Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, Public Law 111-152, and any amendments to or regulations or guidance issued under those acts. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 14
- Superintendent: means the Superintendent of Insurance. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 4202-A
The superintendent may adopt and amend rules, establish standards and enforce federal statutes and regulations in order to carry out the purposes of the federal Affordable Care Act. Rules or amendments to rules adopted pursuant to this section, including amendments to major substantive rules, are routine technical rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2?A.
