Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 5 Sec. 20021
- Department: means the Department of Health and Human Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 5 Sec. 20003
- Prevention: means any activity designed to educate or provide information to individuals and groups about the use of alcohol and other drugs. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 5 Sec. 20003
The department shall create and maintain a program to increase public awareness of the impacts and prevalence of substance use disorder. The public awareness program must include promotional and technical assistance to local governments, schools and public and private nonprofit organizations interested in substance use disorder prevention.
