Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 9-A Sec. 12-103

  • Consumer: means a person or entity residing or domiciled in this State with a pending civil claim or action and represented by an attorney. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 9-A Sec. 12-102
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
2. Legal funding that is made pursuant to this article is not a consumer credit transaction as defined in section 1?301, subsection 12.
