  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Testify: Answer questions in court.
In connection with an investigation or proceeding under this subtitle, the Commissioner may:

(1) administer oaths;

(2) receive evidence; and

(3) issue subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses to:

(i) testify; or

(ii) produce evidence.
