  • state: means :

    (1) a state, possession, territory, or commonwealth of the United States; or

    (2) the District of Columbia. See
In accordance with § 6 of the federal Philanthropy Protection Act of 1995, the federal Philanthropy Protection Act of 1995 does not preempt the laws of this State.
