Section 92A. In the event that a court of competent jurisdiction shall make an order for the support of the wife, child and children of a recipient of a pension or annuity or retirement allowance under this chapter, and such recipient removes from the commonwealth and resides without the United States said amounts of said court order shall be deducted from aforesaid pension, annuity or retirement allowance as it becomes due and payable and the amount of such deductions shall thereupon be paid to the person or persons, board or officer designated by aforesaid court order. Said amounts shall be paid until such time as the recipient shall present an order of court revoking or amending the original order of the court.

  • Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
