- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. In obtaining bond coverage under this act, the department of administration shall notify all surety companies authorized to do business in this state of the provisions of this act and shall contract for adequate coverage.
