Terms Used In Michigan Laws 15.463

  • Commission: means the civil service commission. See Michigan Laws 15.462
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
  By January 31 of each year, the commission shall post on the commission’s website all of the following information regarding classified state employees during the prior fiscal year:
  (a) For each state department or agency:
  (i) The number of full-time equivalent employees.
  (ii) The average pay rate for all employees.
  (iii) The average years of service for all employees.
  (iv) The number of new hires, returns, and separations.
  (v) The turnover rate.
  (vi) The percentage of employees eligible to retire over the next 1-, 3-, and 5-year periods.
  (vii) The number of employees in each bargaining unit.
  (b) The average annual cost of the benefits for all employees.
