Terms Used In Michigan Laws 207.1067

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Department: means the department of treasury or its designee. See Michigan Laws 207.1002
The department may suspend or revoke a license for failure to comply with the provisions of this act after at least 10 days’ notice to the licensee and a conference, if a conference is requested. If the license suspension or revocation is upheld at the conference, the licensee may appeal the determination pursuant to section 22 of 1941 PA 122, MCL 205.22.
