Terms Used In Michigan Laws 247.812
- Commission: means the state transportation commission. See Michigan Laws 247.801
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Department: means the department of transportation. See Michigan Laws 247.801
- Director: means the director of transportation. See Michigan Laws 247.801
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
Neither a member of the commission, the director, nor any officer of the department shall be interested directly or indirectly in any contract with the state or any political subdivision thereof which shall cause a substantial conflict of interest.
