  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.    The governor, on behalf of the state, is authorized to enter into agreement with the federal government providing for discontinuance of certain of the federal government’s responsibilities with respect to sources of ionizing radiation and the assumption thereof by this state pursuant to Public Laws 86-373, federal-state amendments to the atomic energy act of 1954. Such agreements shall become effective only when ratified by law.
