  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.    Recognizing the board of trustees of Michigan state university of agriculture and applied science as having general supervision of Michigan state university and the direction and control of its funds; nevertheless, as a condition of appropriating funds to the university under this act, no portion of such appropriation shall be used to maintain or continue the industries and labor relations center or any center or school of a similar nature.
