  • in writing: shall be construed to include printing, engraving, and lithographing; except that if the written signature of a person is required by law, the signature shall be the proper handwriting of the person or, if the person is unable to write, the person's proper mark, which may be, unless otherwise expressly prohibited by law, a clear and classifiable fingerprint of the person made with ink or another substance.    Should any parcel of land be divided after a special assessment thereon has been confirmed, and before the collection thereof, the township board may require the supervisor to apportion the uncollected amounts between the several divisions thereof and the report of such apportionment when confirmed by the township board shall be conclusive upon all parties: Provided, That if the interested parties do not agree in writing to such apportionment, then before such confirmation notice of hearing shall be given to all the interested parties, either by personal service or by publication as above provided in case of an original assessment roll.
