  (1) The township board of any charter township may enact ordinances considered necessary to provide for the public peace and health and for the safety of persons and property in the charter township, and may, except as otherwise provided in subsection (2), by ordinance prescribe the terms and conditions upon which licenses may be granted, suspended, or revoked. The charter township board may in those ordinances require and exact payment of reasonable amounts for any licenses considered proper. A person receiving a license shall, before the license is issued, execute a bond to the charter township if required by any ordinance in an amount and with those securities as prescribed by the ordinance, conditioned for the faithful observance of this act and the ordinance under which the license is granted.
  (2) This section is subject to the local government occupational licensing act.
