Any person aggrieved by any action or decision of the inspection bureau or the pool may appeal to the commissioner within 30 days from the action or decision. After a hearing held upon not less than 10 days’ written notice to the aggrieved person and the inspection bureau or the pool, the commissioner shall issue an order approving the action or decision, disapproving the action or decision, or directing the inspection bureau or the pool to give further consideration to the matter.
   Proceedings under this chapter are subject to Act No. 306 of the Public Acts of 1969, as amended.

Terms Used In Michigan Laws 500.2943

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Commissioner: means the director. See Michigan Laws 500.102
  • Inspection bureau: means an organization designated by the commissioner to act as the inspection bureau. See Michigan Laws 500.2901
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
