Terms Used In Michigan Laws 500.3021

  • Insurer: means an individual, corporation, association, partnership, reciprocal exchange, inter-insurer, Lloyds organization, fraternal benefit society, or other legal entity, engaged or attempting to engage in the business of making insurance or surety contracts. See Michigan Laws 500.106
   No policy including any class of motor vehicle coverage shall be cancelled by the insurer, nor shall the insurer refuse to issue a renewal policy, nor shall the premium for any such policy be increased solely because an insured has reached the age of 65 years, if the insured still has a valid Michigan motor vehicle operator’s license.
