Terms Used In Michigan Laws 500.8193
- Commissioner: means the director. See Michigan Laws 500.102
- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- Lodge: means the subordinate member units of a society, including camps, courts, councils, branches, or other similar designation. See Michigan Laws 500.8161
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. An application or petition for injunction against any domestic, foreign, or alien society, or lodge of such a society, shall not be recognized in any court of this state unless commenced by the attorney general upon request of the commissioner.
