Terms Used In Michigan Laws 62.15

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Officer: means the village president, clerk, or treasurer, a village trustee, or an appointed person authorized by the council. See Michigan Laws 61.1a
   When an officer resigns or is removed from office, or when the elected term of office expires, he or she shall deliver over to his or her successor in office books, papers, money, evidence of debt, and other property as required by section 480 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.480.
