Terms Used In Michigan Laws 730.271

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.   • Verdict: The decision of a petit jury or a judge.
   The justices shall have the same power to direct a verdict for either party as is had by judges of circuit courts of this state in similar cases.
