  • Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Any person, corporation, member of the county commission or municipal corporation, convicted of a misdemeanor as defined by this chapter shall pay a fine of not less than five dollars nor more than one thousand dollars, and if such violation of said chapter as the conviction is for shall not be abated by the party so convicted within thirty days after such conviction, then the continuance of such obstruction or other violation of the provisions of this chapter after said period of thirty days shall for each and every day the same is continued constitute a separate offense, for which, on conviction thereof, the party so offending shall be punished by a fine of twenty-five dollars.
