  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The proceedings to incorporate a metropolitan water supply district shall be in the circuit court of the county in which the proposed district is located. The circuit court sitting in and for any such county is hereby vested with jurisdiction, power and authority as provided herein to establish such districts.
