Terms Used In Missouri Laws 313.250

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

The director shall annually prepare and submit to the commission, for its approval, a proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year, which budget shall present a complete financial plan setting forth all proposed expenditures and anticipated revenues of the state lottery.
