  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

The fact that an application, a renewal application, a certificate of amendment of an application, or a renewal application is on file in the office of the secretary of state is notice that the partnership is a registered limited liability partnership and is notice of all other facts set forth in the renewal application or certificate of amendment of an application or a renewal application.
