  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020

A corporation or transfer agent incurs no liability to any person by making a transfer or otherwise acting in a manner authorized by sections 403.250 to 403.350.
