  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.

The vendor or donor shall execute and deliver to the commissioners a good and sufficient deed or deeds conveying to the county the land or lands so sold or given, in fee simple, without reservation or condition, and shall also deliver an abstract of the title papers, deeds, conveyances and assurances, by or through which the title thereto is derived.
