  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

The commissioners shall make report of their proceedings, accompanied by the deed, abstract and evidence of title to said land, to the circuit court, at the next term thereof; if the judge approve the same, he shall certify the decision of the court therein to the county commission; and if said court shall believe that the commissioners have selected the most suitable place for the erection of the public buildings, then the place so selected shall be the permanent seat of justice of the county, and the title to the land conveyed for that purpose shall be vested in the county.
