Repayment of principal and interest on loans or assistance awarded from the wastewater loan fund shall be credited to the wastewater loan fund. Any administrative fees pursuant to section 644.106 shall be paid to the director of revenue and deposited in the state treasury to the credit of an appropriate subaccount of the natural resources protection fund created in section 640.220 and, subject to appropriation by the general assembly, shall be used by the department to carry out the general administration of programs and projects financed, in part, by assistance from the water pollution control fund or the wastewater loan fund.
