33-30-1013. Coverage required for services provided by nurse specialists. A health service corporation shall provide, in group and individual insurance contracts, coverage for health services provided by a nurse specialist, as specifically listed in 37-8-202, if health care services that nurse specialists are licensed to perform are covered by the contract.

  • Health services: means the health care and services provided by hospitals or other health care institutions, organizations, associations, or groups and by doctors of medicine, osteopathy, dentistry, chiropractic, optometry, and podiatry; nursing services; licensed acupuncturist services; licensed social worker, licensed professional counselor, or psychologist services; medical appliances, equipment, and supplies; and drugs, medicines, ambulance services, and other therapeutic services and supplies.
