50-17-101. Policy of state. It is the public policy of the state to:

- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- Tuberculosis: means a disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis or mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. See Montana Code 50-17-102
(1)protect persons from the danger of tuberculosis;
(2)provide and maintain a comprehensive program for the prevention, abatement, and adequate control working toward eradication of the disease;
(3)cooperate with other state agencies and the federal government in carrying out these objectives.
