7-14-1611. Resolution of intention to create rail authority. (1) A board of county commissioners may create an authority encompassing an entire county or a portion of a county. Before creating an authority, the board shall pass a resolution of intention.
Terms Used In Montana Code 7-14-1611
- Authority: means a rail authority as provided in this part. See Montana Code 7-14-1601
- Board: means a board of county commissioners. See Montana Code 7-14-1601
- Directors: means the directors of the rail authority. See Montana Code 7-14-1601
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
(2)The resolution must state:
(a)the proposed name of the authority;
(b)the proposed boundaries of the authority; and
(c)the number of directors of the authority.
