72-7-104. Common law and principles of equity. The common law and principles of equity supplement this act, except to the extent modified by this act or a law of this state other than this act.
Terms Used In Montana Code 72-7-104
- Common law: The legal system that originated in England and is now in use in the United States. It is based on judicial decisions rather than legislative action.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
