- Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
- Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- Program: means the university system retirement program established pursuant to this chapter. See Montana Code 19-21-102
- system: means the teachers' retirement system provided for in Title 19, chapter 20. See Montana Code 19-21-102
