Outstanding payment instrument means any payment instrument issued by a licensee which has been sold in the United States directly by the licensee or any payment instrument issued by a licensee which has been sold by an authorized delegate of the licensee in the United States, which has been reported to the licensee as having been sold, and which has not yet been paid by or for the licensee.

Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 8-2718

  • Authorized delegate: means an entity designated by the licensee or an exempt entity under the Nebraska Money Transmitters Act to engage in the business of money transmission on behalf of the licensee or exempt entity. See Nebraska Statutes 8-2704
  • Licensee: means a person licensed pursuant to the Nebraska Money Transmitters Act. See Nebraska Statutes 8-2713
  • Outstanding payment instrument: means any payment instrument issued by a licensee which has been sold in the United States directly by the licensee or any payment instrument issued by a licensee which has been sold by an authorized delegate of the licensee in the United States, which has been reported to the licensee as having been sold, and which has not yet been paid by or for the licensee.   • Payment instrument: means any electronic or written check, draft, money order, travelers check, or other electronic or written instrument or order for the transmission or payment of money, sold or issued to one or more persons, whether or not such instrument is negotiable.   • United States: shall include territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
