1.  The court shall have full discretionary authority to appoint any suitable person as conservator and may require a conservator to post an adequate surety bond and to make such reports as the court may deem necessary.

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 161.020

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
  • person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039

2.  The conservator shall have the same powers and authority as the guardian of the property of an infant or person adjudicated incompetent and shall be considered as an officer or arm of the court.
