Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 288.044

  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.

1.  Evidence is presented; and

2.  A written report is issued by the fact finder describing the issues involved, making findings and setting forth recommendations for settlement which may or may not be binding.
