Any person who sells or offers to sell for a profit a copy of a certificate of marriage or an abstract of a recorded certificate of marriage issued by a county clerk or county recorder is guilty of a misdemeanor. Each sale or offer to sell such a certificate constitutes a separate violation of this section. This section does not apply to fees charged by a county clerk or county recorder.
