1.  All gifts or grants of money for a program for alcohol or other substance use disorders which the Division is authorized to accept must be deposited in the State Treasury for credit to the State Grant and Gift Account for Alcohol or Other Substance Use Disorders which is hereby created in the Department of Health and Human Services’ Gift Fund.

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 458.100

  • Administrator: means the Administrator of the Division. See Nevada Revised Statutes 458.010
  • Division: means the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services. See Nevada Revised Statutes 458.010
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • Program for alcohol or other substance use disorders: means a project concerned with education, prevention and treatment directed toward achieving the mental and physical restoration of persons with an alcohol or other substance use disorder. See Nevada Revised Statutes 458.010

2.  Subject to the limitations set forth in NRS 458.094, money in the Account must be used to carry out the provisions of this chapter.

3.  All claims must be approved by the Administrator before they are paid.
