If any contract for hospital or medical services provides coverage for acupuncture performed by a physician, the insured is entitled to reimbursement for acupuncture performed by a person who is licensed pursuant to chapter 634A of NRS.
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 695B.196
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Medical services: means the furnishing or providing of any or all of the following:
(a) Medical or surgical services, in or out of a hospital, by a physician licensed to practice under the laws of Nevada. See Nevada Revised Statutes 695B.030
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- physician: means a person who engages in the practice of medicine, including osteopathy and homeopathy. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.040
