Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 293-A:1.27

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • seal: shall include an impression of the official seal made upon the paper alone, as well as an impression thereof made by means of wax, or a wafer, affixed thereto. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:11
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
A certificate from the secretary of state delivered attached or affixed to a copy of a document filed by the secretary of state, bearing his or her signature and the seal of this state (both of which may be in facsimile) is conclusive evidence that the original document is on file with the secretary of state.
