  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
If any railroad shall not comply with the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 377:1 or 377:2, it shall be for each offense guilty of a felony, and shall be liable to the party injured for his damages in an action on the case.
