Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 465:2
- benefits: shall mean all moneys payable by the United States through the Department of Veterans Affairs. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 465:1
- Department of Veterans Affairs: means the United States Department of Veterans Affairs or its successor. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 465:1
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- secretary: means the secretary of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs or his successor. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 465:1
- United States: shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
- ward: means a beneficiary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 465:1
Whenever, pursuant to any law of the United States or regulation of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the secretary requires, prior to payment of benefits, that a guardian be appointed for a ward, such appointment may be made in the manner hereinafter provided.
