- Department: means the department of environmental services. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 485:1-a
- Person: means any individual, partnership, company, public or private corporation, political subdivision or agency of the state, department, agency or instrumentality of the United States, or any other legal entity. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 485:1-a
Whoever violates any of the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 485:8-13, but not N.H. Rev. Stat. § 485:8, II, or fails to comply with the lawful orders and requirements of the department duly made pursuant to those sections, or whoever hinders or obstructs any inspector in the pursuit of his lawful duty in respect to such sections, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor if a natural person, or guilty of a felony if any other person.
