Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 490-C:1

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
There is hereby established a guardian ad litem board which shall be responsible for overseeing the credentialing and activities, and discipline of guardians ad litem in New Hampshire who are or have been certified by the board.
