I. Without otherwise limiting or defining the sovereign immunity of the state and its agencies, this chapter shall apply to all complaints filed with or investigations by a professional licensing board, committee, or regulatory agency against any state officer, trustee, official, employee, member of the general court, or other person identified in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 99-D:2 when acting in the scope of such person’s official elected, appointed, or state employment duty and not in a wanton or reckless manner.
II. This section shall apply only to complaints or investigations arising out of incidents occurring on or after July 1, 2013.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 99-D:11

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
