Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 17:22-6.49

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Banking and Insurance for the fiscal year 1959-60 the sum of $35,000.00 for the purpose of discharging the functions of the Surplus Lines Examining Office and the payment of salaries and expenses incurred in connection therewith.
